Commute Seattle - Prize Patrol

Project Outline
Commute Seattle gathered footage from their  mission to say thank you to local commuters. They asked me to create a video for them to share the experience with everyone.

My Role
I was tasked with editing the raw footage into a montage with animated graphics, sound effects, and a voice over. I hand picked the soundtrack from a local Latin music group and had Susie Philipsen do the voice over track in my studio.

Commute Seattle - Bike Minded Employers

Project Outline
Commute Seattle had a bunch of downtown workers wear GoPro cameras on their morning commute. They gave me the footage along with a script to produce a short video about Bike Minded Employers and what they do to be more bike friendly.

My Role
I shot additional video footage (not GoPro) and added animated graphics and titles using After Effects. Susie Philipsen did the voice over in my studio and I added an original soundtrack. It was a 3 week turn around from start to finish with one round of edits.

Two Owls Clothing - Promotional Video

Project Outline
Two Owls is an organic cotton clothing company in Seattle. They needed a general promotional video for their social media accounts. I worked directly with Two Owls from start to finish.

My Role
I produced, filmed, and edited this piece. Other than a set of existing photos, the rest was shot at the Two Owls Studio and a private residence. I received help from Justin Michael Ladd filming the interview portion.

Yves - "Flinty Heart"

Project Outline
Music from an upcoming release from the band Yves. I shot the video on a seemingly old
Panasonic DMC-LX2. I also used a Panasonic D-snap to get the quick-textural footage, which was captured outside on an overcast day. The rest was done in our basement. All the color and lights were done in-camera.

My Role
Full production from concept to final edit. Couldn't have done it without the rest of the band  of course! Special thanks goes out to the
Ikea LED color changing rainbow lights.

Colt Kraft Band - "A Ways Away"

Project Outline
Colt is an amazing song writer and poet! When he performs you can't help but paint a picture in your head. Most of his songs tend to have a desert vibe, so I went all the way with this impulse to bring it under water.

My Role
I'm playing
The Key on this one as well as wearing the wet suit behind the camera. Colt was kind enough to swim in Lake Washington with his clothes on. Special thanks to Gina Coffman for playing the elusive lover.

Maya Lin: Systematic Landscapes

Project Outline
The Henry Art Gallery asked me to produce a documentary video installation to accompany a touring exhibition of Maya Lin's work.

My Role
I was the producer for this project. We started with storyboards of Lin's work that she used as a prompt for her voice-over. I then took this material and edited it into a two screen 'book' concept for dual screen presentation.

Notes
The videos were installed in a way similar to the above representation with the two screens in an obtuse corner and a white carpet as a screen on the floor. I worked with the staff at the Henry to engineer the multi faceted projection and looping setup.

"Believe" Commercial

Project Outline
This 30 second commercial for the annual SharePoint Conference in Las Vegas was shown on the hotel's network throughout the week as well as during presentations and in the elevator.

My Role
Using a script developed by Blue Rooster, I  illustrated and edited the animation, and produced the audio for this short commercial spot.

Blue Rooster Intranet Prototype

Project Outline
We developed a set of company intranet prototypes to serve as explanatory layouts for what it takes to have a robust interface for social enterprise clients.

My Role
I envisioned and rendered a visual narrative to guide a new user through the basics of an intranet home page.
I collaborated with the copy writer to develop the language for the walk-through.
